Once you’ve created your Sport, the next step is to create a Team. Teams sit within a Sport and allow you to:

• Add students
• Assign coaches
• Create fixtures
• Schedule training
• Track attendance
• Communicate with parents and students

You can think of it like this: Sport → Team → Fixtures & Training → Communication & Attendance

Quick Tip

If you have just finished creating a Sport, you can add a Team straight away from that page by clicking the + icon (Create Team) beside the Sport.

Step-by-Step: Creating a Team

1. Log In

Go to uniqueschoolapp.ie and log in if you’re not already signed in.

2. Open Team Manager

From the main dashboard:

1. Click Team Manager
2. Then click Teams from the left-hand side menu

3. Click “Create Team”

Team Details are mandatory, so you must complete the following:

1. Team Name
2. Sport (select the sport you created earlier)
3. Coach(es) assigned to the team

Other sections such as Squad Players, Roles, and Team Selection are optional at this stage. You can skip these for now and return to them later.

4. Add Squad Players (Optional)

To add students to your team:

1. Filter by Year or Class, or Use the Search Student box
2. Select the students you want
3. Add them to your squad

You can update this at any time.

5. Assign Roles (Optional)

You can assign roles to players if you wish.

From the Role column:

1. Click Unassigned
2. Select the appropriate role (e.g. Forward, Centre Back, etc.)

This step is optional and can be completed later.

6. Team Selection (Optional)

You can now select your team sheet.

1. Add your starters first
2. Then add your substitutes

⚠️ Note: Team Sheets may or may not be visible to parents depending on your Settings configuration.

7. Review & Create Team

Finally:

1. Review all entered information
2. Click Submit to create the team

Your team is now ready to use.

Editing a Team After Creation

Once a team is created, you can:

• Edit team details
• Add or remove players
• Reassign roles
• Update the team sheet
• Change assigned coaches
• Delete the team (if needed)

Teams are fully editable, so don’t worry if you need to make changes later.
