How to Find, Reply to, and Close a Personal Notification Conversatio

When sending a Personal Notification (PN) to an individual family, you can enable replies. This allows the parent/guardian to respond directly within the app, creating a secure, threaded conversation.

This guide explains how to:

  • Find a parent’s reply
  • Respond back
  • Close the conversation when finished

How You Know a Parent Has Replied

If replies were enabled when the PN was created:

  • You will receive an email notification when the parent responds.
  • The email will direct you to log in to the Dashboard to view and reply.

Step-by-Step: Viewing & Responding to Replies

1. Log In

Go to uniqueschoolapp.ie


2. Go to Personal Notifications

Navigate to:

  • Communications > Personal Notifications > Manage Personal Notifications
  • By default, you will land on the “All” tab.

3. Switch to the “Unread” Tab

  • Click on the Unread tab.
  • This will display all Personal Notifications that contain unread replies.
  • You will also see an unread reply count beside “Personal Notification” on the left side menu

4. Open the Conversation

You will see two icons beside the Personal Notification:

  • Green Chat Icon – View the reply and respond
  • Red Icon – Close the conversation

5. Replying to the Parent

Click the Green Chat Icon to:

  • View the full message thread
  • Type your reply
  • Add images or PDFs if required

Both you and the parent can attach:

  • Images
  • PDF documents

This keeps all communication organised in one secure thread.

6. Closing the Conversation

When the matter is resolved:

  • Click the Red Close Icon

This will:

  • Close the conversation
  • Prevent further replies from the parent

You can still view the conversation history at any time.
